Q) : What are your opening times?
A) : Our offices are opened between 9am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 5pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. Strictly by appointment only, we are not open on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Q) : How much do you charge for your storage?
A) : At present 20ft and 40ft storage containers cost £140 and £240 respectively. This may be revised so it’s worth calling 01708 556 586 to check.
Q) : Is your yard secure?
A) : Yes, we have a password protected electronic gates and our yard is fully kitted with state-of-the-Art CCTV system, fully recorded offsite and remotely viewable with a night security personnel.
Q) : Is your yard easy to find?
A) : Yes, we are just adjacent to the A13 at the corner of Ferry Lane North so you can clearly see the yard from the motorway.
Q) : Do you have loaders in your yard?
A) : Yes, there are several independent operating loaders on site who can give advice on how much weight or number of cars that can be loaded into a container.
Q) : If my storage container is full can I put the rest of my goods on top of my container?
A) : No, unfortunately this is a health and safety hazard.
Q) : Can I leave my goods outside if I feel tired and come back the very next day to finish off my loading?
A) : No, nothing must be left outside as the yard will not be held responsible for any losses. This is also against the rules and regulations and is also a health and safety hazard.
Q) : Will my goods be insured by the yard?
A) : No, like all other storage companies we do not insure any goods that are stored in our Self Storage facilities. But we give our customers the opportunity to pay extra for their goods to be insured based on the value of their goods stored.
Q) : Is your yard insured?
A) : Yes, Sams Yard is fully insured with full Public & Employer Liability and is also a legal requirement.
Q) : Do you take deliveries on behalf of your customers?
A) : Yes, by appointment only and at a cost. Please call us for details.
Q) : Do you have heavy lifting equipment?
A) : Yes, we have a reach stacker that can lift up 45,000kgs. We also have a range of fork lifts and cranes which can lift anything from 1000kgs to 15000kgs.
Q): How long can I store my goods for
A) : You can store your goods for as long as you wish
Q): Do I need to give notice when I intend to stop using the storage?
No, we don’t require any notice when you decide to leave, all we ask is come to the office to settle any balance owing or collect what your’e owed and keep the storage facility tidy.
Q): How often can I get my goods?
You can get your goods anytime during our working hours.
Q): Are there items I cannot store?
Yes, we do not allow hazardous materials like gas cylinders, acidic and corrosive materials etc
